Yes, that is possible – and completely privacy-friendly. Using the Gaiyo App, employees can easily indicate whether each trip is a business, commuting, or private trip. This choice determines not only the processing but also the payment and visibility of the trip.
Private trips are automatically paid for from the employee’s personal wallet, so they are not charged to the employer. These trips are not visible in the employer portal, in line with the GDPR and the principle of data minimization. In this way, Gaiyo guarantees the privacy of your employees, while you, as an employer, still have control over business mobility use.
In addition, Gaiyo supports the latest tax regulations, including tax-friendly private use of public transport via the Gaiyo public transport subscription. This allows employees to travel affordably outside working hours, for example by train, bus, tram, or metro, within the agreed conditions.
